Just wanted to give an update/clearification: - my grandpa is not in a nursing home he is in assisted living. He can come and go as he pleases its like an apartment with caregivers on site if needed - He lived over an hour and half away from us. The familys that lived close to him (my aunt and uncle) are moving and one is out of state during the winter - my grandma passed away in January and he has been home by himself and its becoming too lonely so he moved up over by us - we would visit my grandpa every week and drive a total of 3 hours but we wish he was closer to us - my parents live 5 minutes from him, my brother lives 2 minutes, my aunt lives 5 minutes, and my fiance and i live 8 minutes away. - someone from the family is there everyday (normally my mom since she is a stay at home mom) - He came over to my parents house on sunday and had dinner with everyone - So far he likes it there and the staff are very helpful and friendly! and i will be posting more videos of his experience Thank you all for the sweet comments (yes he looks like carl from up i tell him that almost everyday😂❤️) If you want to follow along i will be posting a lot more videos with my grandpa and i now that he is closer to us #grandpa #foryou #foryoupage

Box and venmo and as much as it is not expected we truly appreciate the love and support and are going to try and find things for the other residents to help spread the love and pay it forward ❤️🫶🏼 i wanted to share a little about why we put him in senior living ❤️ many people think we just want to put him in senior living to “get rid of him” but although he loves his family he loves his independence and refuses to live with family 😂 He took care of my grandma when she couldnt take care of herself. Due to lifting her from place to place it caused him to have a bad shoulder and bad knees. When she passed away back in January we wanted him to move closer to his family up here.
