Spay Day is almost here! We're going to spay and neuter 500+ free-roaming community cats on Saturday - for FREE! Pre-registration is full, but walk-ins are welcome. Community cats should be dropped off in humane traps (available for loan here at Peggy Adams). Drop off windows: Friday 1/10 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM Saturday 1/11 7:30 - 10:30 AM All cats will be sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and ear-tipped at no cost to their trappers/caretakers! Your family will come soon, Norman 🖤 Norman has been in shelters for over two years, more than half of his young life. Before he came to Peggy Adams, Norman was the longest resident at Miami Dade Animal Services. He lived there for over two years. We hoped he would get new attention here at Peggy Adams, but he’s being overlooked again. Now that Tango found his family, Norman is our longest resident. 🗓️ 💬 “There must be a reason no one wants him” No! Norman is a favorite among our staff and volunteers, and his foster family said he was happy, relaxed, and loving at home. Norman is just a black pittie in a world where dogs who look like him are often misjudged and passed over. Norman is part couch potato, part house hippo 🦛. He knows his commands, is happy on car rides, and is open to making new dog friends too! 🐕‍🦺 Norman is only 4 years old and has so much love to give - if only someone would give him the chance! Hooch is always a good boy, so he knows Santa will find him a great family ❤️ Hooch was evacuated from Clewiston before Hurricane Milton. Two months later, we don't know why Hooch is still here! Several volunteers say he's their FAVORITE dog in the shelter🥇 Hooch is a squishy, cuddly teddy bear. He has the sweetest eyes and the biggest heart. Phoebe’s whole world was shattered 💔 After 15 years with her loving human, Phoebe is grieving in the shelter. Sadly, she came to us when her owner passed away. Phoebe has so much love still to give, and she deserves to spend her golden year in a loving home.💛 As a member of our Grey Whisker Club, Phoebe has had a comprehensive vet exam, including bloodwork, which didn’t turn up any major concerns. Her adoption fee is just $25, and she’ll take home a few supplies and benefits to start adopted life on the right paw. Don’t worry Phoebe, your hero will come! This video has received over 8 million views since October, but no one has come to adopt two of our sweetest pittie girls 💔   The good news is - the rest of the pitties featured in this video have been ADOPTED! Reunited after a YEAR! Charlie's family was devastated when he escaped and went missing a year ago. After endless searching, they were starting to lose hope that they would ever find Charlie. Their only hope was Charlie's microchip. They knew that if he ever visited a shelter or vet's office, staff should scan his chip and contact them. That's exactly what happened on Spay Day! Charlie wandered into a trap for a free snack and ended up ar Peggy Adams! When we realized that he was already neutered and microchipped, we called his family! They rushed in to pick Charlie up immediately. What a sweet reunion!
