After the chats on stories last week about our sky bill I thought it would be good to do a full household breakdown. I know a lot of people don’t like opening up about this sort of thing, which is more than fair but I thought why not? If we don’t know what other people are paying for services how do we know if we’re getting a fair price? Whilst I realise the txt on screen sounds a bit dramatic it’s a true story. I did buy this house without Jake seeing it 😆 He worked away from home at the time and I knew as soon as I walked past it it would be our forever home. I viewed it with my 7 year old nephew, put an offer in that day, put our house on the market the next day and sold it 7 days later! Yes it could’ve all gone wrong but it didn’t. This was one of my first ever TikTok videos. I got some sh*t for it Standard! 💁🏼‍♀️ My fav comment - “my husbands a builder and he says there’s no way that extension cost £65k - you’re lying” No, I’m not lying! The full story, yes our two story wrap around extension did cost 65k. Yes, that was less than half the cost of what local firms and UK builders were charging at the time. That cost included the build and everything being finished and fitted by them but it did not include the kitchen, bathrooms, etc. We saved for these as the build was being done. It took about 10/11 months to complete . Wall panelling, brick slips and additional features were all added BY US to get it to the standard we wanted after they left. They were absolutely great, hard working, professional, standards were high - no regrets with our decision at all ❤️ loads of respect and love for Lukas & Lukas 🥰 I’ll do a reel soon on how we got the money to pay for it Just to be completely transparent…. the bar and the gym in the videos weren’t completed as part of the house extension. We had Lukas & Lukas back last year for a build at the bottom of our garden, there’s a separate reel on my page about that.
