Wow. This morning I received many messages confirming that our heroine, Milouse Sylfrand passed away💔🥺. If you were following the Wanament canal, you know that she was at the forefront of our movement. She was a symbol of strength and love. She showed that women have a place at the canal construction site. She will be forever remembered in Haitian history. 🇭🇹✊🏿❤️ #haiti #haitiantiktok #haitiantiktok🇭🇹
Piti piti, zwazo fè nich (Little by little, the bird builds its nest). The community is moving forward and committed to seeing this bridge completed! Here’s a glimpse of the work this week. ✊🏿🇭🇹 Thank you for contributing and encouraging the community. Ansanm nou pi fò! 💪🏿 #haiti #haitian #haitiantiktok #ayiti
Today as we remember the life and death of King Henri Christophe, allow me to shine some light on one of the many palaces he built. I realize I’ve made several videos in the past of the Citadelle Laferrière but none on this majestic palace. All Haitians, all black people ought to have the opportunity to visit this place. It’s powerful. Side note : Christophe has always been my favorite Haitian hero. Well, earlier this year I got the biggest gift when I got connected with an entire branch of my family in Fòlibète and learned we are direct descendants of King Christophe (not from his wife). More of that to come as I dig deeper (y’all know I like to do my own extensive research). For now, just know that this is one of my favorite places in all of Haiti. ✊🏿🇭🇹❤️ #haiti #haitiantiktok #haitiantiktok🇭🇹 #haititok
Here’s a glimpse of the Torbeck canal this weekend❤️🇭🇹. In June we traveled to the south in order to provided almost $30,000 worth of support to this community. They’ve experienced some delays and bumps in the road, mainly with a lack of funding, but they are pressing on. They won’t stop until they’ve achieved their goals. The Torbeck community is still working with the material we gave them (mainly the concrete mixer and 1,000 sacks of cement). They are committed to continuing the work and ensuring that kanal la p ap kanpe! ✊🏿🇭🇹❤️ #haiti #haitian #haititok #haitiantiktok
My job gives me so much joy and hope. I work training teachers across Haiti because teachers have the future of our nation in their classrooms. Like my shirt says, teachers are a light. The make bright the path of Haiti’s children by investing in the capacity and unleasing the potential of our students. Thats why my team and I give our all to making sure our trainings are full of life and excitement. Haitian teachers deserve these exciting moments and Haitian students deserve this type of education (one filled with joy). To learn more about our work visit us at p4hglobal.org ❤️🇭🇹. Viv edikasyon!
