I’ve painted another eye! ☺️ These are so fun to practice and see improvement with! I realized I kind of abandoned learning more about painting eyes for a while, even though they’re such an important part of the face! 🙃 I also noticed I feel WAY more comfortable painting hands, which I think is thanks to the 500 hands challenge I did in the past. I can never get enough of this tape peels 😌 And this one is even more crispy because of the changed surface! Before that I used watercolor paper and primed it so it wont tear. But it still tore sometimes and it was SO frustrating 🥲 Who would have thought that there would go so much planning and testing into this kind of paintings?! Sometimes you HAVE to redo them 👁️ 👁️ I really wasn’t happy with the first take of the eyes so I decided to scrap them COMPLETELY and start from scratch! This was SO scary especially on this large format 🙃 But I knew I had to do it to get the best possible result✨ I actually changed them TWICE because I also wasn’t happy with the second version 😅 But now with the final result I’m more than happy and it was totally worth it🌼 Don’t be afraid to start over! It’s such a big learning opportunity and it also helps with getting more confident in your skills. Quick Portrait study 🌼 Diving fully into shape design with this one and going wild in the colors 🌈 . At one point I wondered If I overdo it with all the colors, If I should tone it down so ist doesn't feel to chaotic and overwhelming for others. But then I realized how much FUN it is for me to paint this way 🌈✨ And there are probably other people out there that feel the same way when they see my art ❤️ This style might not be for everybody.
