There’s a difference between building a community of faith and building an empire. At mega churches like this the message of humility, service, and compassion are replaced with profit, power, and performance. When a pastor lives in a mansion while congregants struggle to pay rent, it’s no longer ministry—it’s marketing. Faith should never be a business model. And when spirituality is exploited for personal gain, we have to call it what it is: predatory. If your church (or political party) shames doubt, silences questions, or demands loyalty to a leader over love for people—it might be time to walk away.
