Crash-landed in Iceland in 1973, this plane has been slowly weathered by the elements on the black sands of Sólheimasandur Beach ever since ✈️ We set out at 4 a.m. to catch the perfect sunrise, and a few other photographers were already there. Everyone was super friendly, making it a great atmosphere to fly the drone ☺️ It’s fascinating how we turn forgotten relics into must-see attractions, getting up in the middle of the night just to see them. But there’s something beautiful about sharing a common passion with strangers, connecting over a piece of history and the shared desire to capture it 🎥
The crash at the end 🥹 It was quite an effort to save the drone. I was flying from the top of the cliff, and there was no access to the beach. Still, it’s incredibly important to retrieve the drone in situations like this, as the battery can pollute the water if it dissolves 🔋 Check out the YouTube video for the full story. Link in my bio 🙌
#ad Bro says he knows a spot 👀 (ad) There’s no better place to test my @thenorthface Offtrail GORE-TEX shoes than hiking up a mountain for two days and climbing a rock needle 😂 Would you stand up there? #NeverStopExploring @thenorthfaceeurope #ad Drone permit obtained from Naturpark Karwendel.
The view at the end 🥰 I can’t drive through the Dolomites without stopping every few meters. There are just so many beautiful spots along the roadside like this one. Who would drive here with a van? 🚐
Would you drive over the bridge? 🚲 (Anzeige) I’m amazed that you can still ride so well on an e-bike, even pulling off a wheelie! Huge thanks to @Yamaha Motor Europe 🙌 Can’t wait to try out all the other cool stuff you can do with it ☺️
How do you save a drone drifting in a fjord in Iceland in the middle of the night? 🥹 Check out my YouTube video for the whole story 🙌 The link is in my bio, but you can also find my channel easily if you search for Sebastian Schieren. I’m really curious what you think about it. Do you want to see more of these moments where things go wrong? I’ve got plenty of those 🦦 Let me know if you’d like any adjustments!
