Blend ginger, turmeric, lemon juice, honey, and water until smooth. (You could add all the ingredients to a juicer instead.) 2. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl. 3. In a bowl, add 1/2 cup warm water and sprinkle the gelatin on top. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom. 2. In a pot, combine 1/2 cup water, maple syrup, and salt. Heat the mixture until just before boiling. 3. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, slowly add the maple syrup mixture to the bloomed gelatin while whisking. 4. Once fully combined, add marshmallow root and vanilla extract. Continue whisking until it reaches a fluffy, marshmallow consistency (this took me about 15 minutes). 5. Dust a container with arrowroot powder. 6. Pour the marshmallow fluff into the container and smooth the top. Let it set for a few hours or overnight. 7. Healing from mold toxicity has been a crazy journey. You have 1000 problems until you have a health problem, and then you have one problem. I feel like my entire life went on pause while I tried to figure out what was going on with my body and how I could feel better. Waking up with puffy eyes and skin rashes, going to countless doctors and natropaths, and really learning how to regulate my nervous system. A few months ago, I moved into a new apartment and immediately started reacting badly to it. I left as fast as possible, but it came with a lot of symptoms and side effects. My immune system and nervous system were on high alert and felt like my body was attacking itself. It is so so important to listen to your body and be aware of what it’s telling you. Had I ignored the symptoms, and stayed in the apartment, things could’ve gotten a lot worse. I threw away 3/4 of my stuff, spent hours cleaning the things that I did keep, I wanted to make sure I didn’t bring any mold with me into my new places. I definitely have some posts to update, but I moved into a new house and I’m so excited to continue healing. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned throughout this whole process is slowing down and letting your body heal. Rest is important, sleep is important, and if you are on all the time your body will force you to slow down.
