I use this method for all houseplants, but I dont let all of them dry 100% between watering. 100% dry is fine for many orchids, but not all. I use this method on my phalaenopsis, dendrobium, and oncidium orchids. #plantsoftiktok
Heres how I prefer to use drip trays foe my plants, and an even better way to avoid them while still getting the same practical use of one. #plants #plantsoftiktok
I also prefer to keep them in smaller pots to help them dry faster and avoid root rot. This plant will get as long as you want in a six inch pot! I use organic fertilizer and myco. #plantsoftiktok #succulents
This is Jessenia Pothos- a new one for us, but same care as all the others! I say more difinitive because wilting can be a sign of underwatering or overwatering. Checking is always best! #plantsoftiktok #PlantTok
It can be difficult to tell them apart when they’re not side by side. There are tons of things that are actually different between them, but for my purposes, looking for leaf shape and texture is the clue. #plants #plantsoftiktok
This customer need their Monstera Thai Constellation repotted, and given a moss pole. Technically this is a coco coir pole, but it serves the same function and isn’t so messy! I use PVC pipe to prevent it from rotting. #plants #plantsoftiktok
I recommend only increasing pot size 1-2” when repotting houseplants. This will help your plant dry out more quickly and avoid root rot. This will cause you to have to water and repot more often, but the tradeoff is worth it to me. Of course you can go larger than that! Doing so will increase your chances of root rot, but you wont have to repot or water as often, but you will increase your chances of root rot. #planttiktok #plantsoftiktok
