I know I mainly post art on here, but my goal with IAMHER is to educate people on SA and its affects. What better way to do that than to show you what my PTSD flashbacks sometimes look like. It’s a reality that resurfaces when you least expect it, which still affects me almost 3 years and a lot of therapy later. Please reach out if you need help <3 #saawareness #mysastory #sa #ptsdawareness #ptsd #survivor #mentalhealthmatters
Short answer: YES! This feeling varies from person to person, but from the majority of survivors that I have talked to, and based on my personal experience, yes, this is a normal thought. Honestly, I look at having that feeling as a good thing… it reminds me of that my life did not end when he took that piece of me away, and that my experience does not define me or how I move forward with the rest of my life.
