you spent your whole life loving me and i’ll spend the rest of my life missing you my shadow following me every step of the way over the past seven years, thank you for being the greatest boy (and sometimes the weirdest) a girl could ask for we fought hard over the last eighteen months to give you the best quality life but it’s time to let you go so you can be at peace, otherwise i would never be ready to say goodbye there will be a hole in my heart that will never be filled i love you willeh @LazarBeam #petloss #petgrief
willeh was on such a strict diet for 2 years while he was sick we just wanted the perfect final day for him and i feel like we got it 🤍 i cannot begin to explain how much love he was surrounded by constantly #petloss #petgrief
update: not the update we were hoping for 💔 just got off the phone to the vets, if he was to stay in house they’d recommend surgery to remove his gallbladder today with a feeding tube. this is an invasive surgery even for a healthy dog so i’ve made the tough call to bring him home because his quality of life with something like that is next to none i want to make him comfortable and say goodbye to him over the weekend. this is going to be one of the hardest things ill ever go through but i know in my heart it’s the right thing to do spending the next day or two with lots of cuddles with loved ones and biscuit.
one of the most heartbreaking reunions i’ve ever had. the overnight team aren’t able to give me details so waiting until we see the vets tomorrow morning 💔
don’t worry i’ve been doing a lot of research on how to help, this is just the first time i’ve left (it wasn’t for long) she had pet lullabies on and a night light (hard to see) but been in contact with our vet about ways to manage her anxiety and i’ve ordered a snuggle puppy and plan on taking her to doggy daycare so she can socialise. we just didn’t have a lot of time to prepare and it will be a learning curve for sure (please do not tell me to get another dog my heart cannot take it) #petloss #grief #petgrief
flare up of willehs inflammatory bowel disease poor lil guy don’t worry he’s in high spirits he’s been eating and drinking and wagging his tail - and he’s come so far over the last twelve months this is just the unfortunate part of the journey of a sick dog when medication and food changes happen but will do a vet visit tomorrow to get him looked over #dog #ibd
grateful for my support system, he’s in good hands and seems to be responding well to treatment will be staying at the vets over the weekend giving him the best chance for rest and recovery 😭
