What a year it’s been! I am forever grateful for the progress I’ve made on my health journey, but this year I’m especially grateful for my doctors helping me envision a life free of Lipedema pain. While I’ve only had two of my four Lipedema removal surgeries, the results have already been life changing. My arms have recently begun to really ache, so I am so excited that they are my next up for treatment. Thank you @Dr David M Amron and @Advanced Lipedema Treatment for giving me my life back. Thank you Dr Herbst for helping me find answers to questions that have plagued me for years. I am proud of the work I’ve don’t this year and I have been blessed to be on this journey with friends who showed up for me when I couldn’t show up for myself. My Lipedema treatment journey changed my life by reducing my pain, but also by showing me just how loved and cared for I am. #lipedema #chronicillness #gratitude

Welcome to my new series, songs to listen when you’re sad. On today’s episode- the perfect song to listen to if you’re sad because you’re single. Changing yourself for someone else to like you is never the way to a healthy relationship. So be yourself and someone who loves it will find you. People like all sorts of things in a partner, so do not let the dum dums on the internet convince you have to look, dress, or act a certain way to be worthy of love and companionship. You are worthy just as you are and the right person will see and treasure that worth. It might take awhile, but people tell me the good stuff is worth waiting for. Also, I got way too into this. I didn’t make a change in my life to be smaller. I made the change to be able to live bigger. There’s a difference talk about this a lot on my episode of The Medical Detectives Podcast. (If you haven’t listened yet, you really should. It’s on Spotify and Apple podcasts and It gives so much more depth and insight into my medical journey that a tiktok just isn’t long enough to capture). When I started this journey I was seeing simple things like tying my shoes become challenging due to mobility issues, inflammation and pain. Now, I sometimes forget I even struggled with those things. This video really made it obvious. You can see how hard I’m trying in the first clip to do something that is now easy in the second clip. My lesson for myself today is to always remember where I came from and thank that version of myself for doing the hard work to get me here. #fitnessmotivation #selflove #transformation #lipedema

Here’s a little video of everything I packed for for my Lipedema removal and brachioplasty surgery. Several other things, especially extra medical supplies, I shipped directly to the hotel. I learned the first time around that it’s not worth lugging it all there. Just let your hotel know its on the way and make sure you ship it so it will arrive before you need it. #lipedema #packing

I love going to west side market in Cleveland when I’m home for the holidays. Rows and rows of delicious treats and holiday cheer fill the stalls. It’s the best. We get fruits and vegetables from the outside stalls. Once inside, I always stop at Jacob’s for hummus and pita chips, Vera’s for russian tea biscuits, and Pierogi Palace for pierogis, IYKYK. My honest review of the “new” Torrid line Festi, for myself. This line is a project torrid has unsucessfully (and kind of controversially) tried to launch previously and I’m a little surprised they didn’t change the name. Im going to ignore its history in this review and offer my perspective as if it was 100% brand new. Overall the line feels inconsistent and candidly a bit confusing. The sizing is unpredictably all over the place. That said, there are some serious gems in the mix that feel fresh and fun. I think it has a lot of potential but it’s definitely still in its awkward teenage phase trying to figure out what it truly wants to be. #psfashion #honestreview #torrid

Here’s to sparkling more in 2025!! 2024 was a hard but powerful year for me. While im proud of everything I did, I felt I lost some of my sparkle. I was emotionally fatigued, overwhelmed with what I learned about my body, and figuring out who I was in a body that felt like a stranger to me. This year my goal is to sparkle more- let the negative reflect only more light, let the dark be illuminated and magnify as much joy as I can in the world. Also, for me sparkled means acknowledging my successes and celebrating them, something I struggle to do. I’m ready to take 2025 and all the challenges and opportunities to shine it gives me. 2025 already feels so full of sparkle. Two more Lipedema surgeries planned, an exciting project I get to tell you about in 6 days, a new apartment and some exciting adventures planned. Arm + Calf Surgery part 1: Lipedema removal. The reason I chose @davidamronmd - and I did interview quite a few doctors - is because of experience. I am a later stage patient, my surgery can be a bit more complicated, and I have a lot of fibrosis. Dr Amron has vast experience and an impressive amount of sucessful Lipedema reduction surgeries in his career. Plus, I’ve already had two surgeries with him and I could not be happier with the results. In addition to his experience, he is dedicated to lipedema and has dedicated a team that I trust. I appreciate their super specialized approach. Dr. Amron, a dermatologic surgeon, focuses and specializes in lipedema reductiom and Dr. Moshrefi, a plastic surgeon, focuses and specializes on the reconstructive aspect of the surgery. Together they make a dynamic duo and I know I’m in great hands! I’m excited for the results of my third surgery to show and for me to get out there and do more of what I love. I really am so grateful to the @Advanced Lipedema Treatment program and Dr. Amron’s team for making this possible. #lipedema #ALTAmbassador

Today I'm back at @Advanced Lipedema Treatment at The Roxbury Institute for my pre-op appointment for my next surgery which is a big one! Dr. Amron will be performing Lipedema reduction surgery and breaking apart the fibrosis in my arms, calves, and ankles, then Dr. Moshrefi will perform a brachioplasty right after. Pre-op appointments are important because they are where you reconfirm your surgical plan, go over any last minute questions with the surgeon, get your post-op bag with supplies you’ll need after surgery, ensure your caregiver is prepared to care for you after surgery and sign your surgical consents. ALT does an amazing job of informing you in a clear and understandable way, and I felt super prepared and ready for everything to come. I can't wait to see my results after surgery! #lipedema #ALTAmbassador

Sometimes progress with your health is hard to see or just really slow. Sometimes I forget how far I have some with managing my health and my lipedema. Today, I realized that my @Lympha Press USA was not fitting right, and I was able to take out an extender - and that is worth celebrating! #positivemindset #lipedema #healthjourney
