Yes, a bread and grease sandwich to remove a pilot bearing… this is not April 1st. Sometimes little tricks like this help when you dont have the correct tool. Just pack the pilot bearing hole with grease and bread and then use an extension or a bolt and hammer it in to create hydraulic pressure to push the bearing out. It is messy but it works well. Or if you have some time you can go to your local Advance Auto or Autozone or pretty much any major parts store and they will rent tools like a Pilot Bearing Puller for free. But sometimes you dont want to take the trip and just want to get the job done so this little mechanics hack works! #ChrisFix #carhacks #DIY

Throwback… I really need to get the Hummer back on the road. Unfortunately the tranfercase blew and since it’s a Duramax swap with a custom transfer case it’s not as easy as just finding one and installing it. In the meantime I was doing small repairs and upgrades to make the Hummer that much nicer. #ChrisFix

Learn how to repair a rust hole in your car. Before the Del Sol gets a turbo I have to do some repairs so the car is safe and this is one of the first repairs! The process is simple, sand down the sheet metal to remove all the rust, then cut out the sheet metal to the shape of the hole, tack weld it in place and then stitch weld the metal completely.
