Sometimes one of the best paths to begin the healing journey is through our smiles, laughter and joy. I was blessed this past week to have the APALACHEE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM come visit me at the production soundstages I’ve been filming at here in Atlanta, Georgia. As the world knows, Apalachee High School in Winder, GA, has endured the unimaginable tragedy of a mass shooting. I didn’t know what to expect when I walked in to meet them - I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by their spirit and energy. I looked these kids in their eyes and hugged ‘em - I know they’re in great pain, but man are they resilient and staying strong. It was as if they just needed a reason, an opportunity to just “let it all go” in this moment. As we said goodbyes, the last kid I hugged said, “we needed this Rock” (so did I) I can’t begin to imagine what these players and all the students, teachers & staff of Apalachee High are going through right now, but I’m here in any and every way I can be - to give my support and love to them and their families as they begin their healing journey. God bless you all. We Are One Apalachee. ps, I’m in touch with Coach Hancock and as promised, I’ll be there for your first home game.

Saw one of the OG’s 🎣 do this years ago and thought how cool and caring it was when we catch a big hog who puts up a helluva fight - to get them back into the water gently and move them back and forth so oxygen gets back into their lungs. They have a lot of lactic acid build up and they’re in shock. Get them back in gently, help them reacclimate and when they’re ready, they’ll piece out and swim off 🤣✌🏾🐟 I think I saw @Bill Dance do it on TV years ago and that effort and gesture always stuck with me.

I know, I know this may sound corny… but you guys hear me say this all the time when it comes to things like this… meeting people and hearing about their journeys of weight loss, mental health struggles, fitness, dealing with loss, anxiety, depression, hard times etc etc moments Iike this become my profound reminder that this is the best part of fame… Keep up the great work Jonny Cleasby, not only have you changed your life, but your journey will change many lives who you’ll go on to touch, as you roll on down the road of life. Mental Health Check In. The power of checking in on our loved ones, friends and even strangers’ mental health can mean the world of a difference, if they’re struggling. And if you’re struggling, spinning, wobbly and just can’t quite catch your breath - you gotta reach out and ask for help. It’s ok, to say you’re not ok. Asking for help, is not a weakness, it’s your superpower. Being vulnerable is being strong. I’ve been there and continue to manage it all day by day.
