A D | Remember these gems for your Japan trip ✌️🇯🇵 Travel with one rolly suitcase, as it’ll make it easier navigating through hectic train stations and trains. Also, if it’s gonna be any suitcase, let it be a top opening one. There’s such little space in hotel rooms and airbnbs and clam shell suitcases are just not convenient at all. I don’t think we’ll ever go back to using one after getting used to top openers 🧳 Comfy walking shoes are a given BUT make sure they’re easy to slip on and off cos you’ll be taking your shoes off frequently in Japan. Anything with buckle straps and zips will be a headache. Also, vacuum bags were a lifesaver for us to create extra space in our luggage for thick winter clothes and alllll of our plushies from crane games. Oh and don’t forget that coin purse for all the gacha and random arcade games you’ll be spending half your money on 🤭 And if all else fails and you simply bought TOO much in Japan (totally relatable), then there’s always really cool suitcases you can find. I guarantee you’ll be shopping here because fashion in cities like Tokyo is 🔥👌 and there is SO much variety. Plus, Japanese clothing brands are cheaper here. Reusable shopping bags are a must, as well as a passport wallet as you need to carry your passport on you at all times according to Japanese law. Our little Japan travel tip is to bring your own headache tablets, as active ingredients can be quite different to what you’re used to. This also applies to deodorant and Japanese ones don’t really have the anti-perspirant effect.
