Sapagkat darating ang araw na ang mga yakap ay alaala na lang, at ang mga salitang hindi nasabi ay magiging bigat sa puso. Huwag kayong maghintay ng huli bago magsimulang magmahal nang buo.

I still remember this photo when my mother was so happy to take us out. It was our first day in Japan. She told us that if we counted one thousand steps with her, we would get a prize at the finish line. So we started walking.. one count per step. 😁 We didn’t feel tired because we knew there was a prize waiting for us at the end. She was smiling the whole time. When we finally reached the end, we found ourselves at McDonald’s. Our prize was ice cream 🍦 She bought it for us. And I can still perfectly remember how happy we were… how thankful we were. Later on, I learned that my mother never had her own car or any easy way to get around. She walked everywhere, every day, working multiple jobs just to provide for us. Those smiles of hers will forever stay in my mind. They will always remind me how strong of a woman she truly is—selfless, resilient, and full of unconditional love. She didn’t give us much in terms of material things, but she gave us everything that really mattered. And for that, I’ll always be grateful. Sobang miss ko na si Inay but May this memory bless you as it has blessed me. To all the single mothers out there—saludo po kami sa inyo. 💐
