Be honest - did you know about this country? I’ve had it on my bucket list for years so to be finally exploring this slice of the world is super exciting. Did you know their visa costs $100 USD per day? Yep, so a week long trip here will cost you $700 before you even do anything haha! I’ll explain more about why they do this in a future video but get ready for some fun travels over the next week 🇧🇹 #travel #whatheck #asia
Talk about unexpected experiences on my flight to Bhutan! 🇧🇹 Landing at Paro International Airport is known for being one of the most challenging feats in aviation, only a select few pilots in the world are certified to do it. So you can imagine how surreal it was to witness it all from the cockpit, seated right behind the pilot 🤯 get ready to explore another epic country! #whatheck #travel #bhutan #aviation
Here in Bhutan they don’t use the GDP to track success but rather the GNH which stands for the Gross National Happiness of their people. Pretty interesting once you look into it and gets you thinking about how we value money in the west. Would you rather rank your countries success from how happy the people are or how strong the economy is? 🤔 Or simply put - GNH or GDP? #whatheck #travel #bhutan #economy
I found a real life Air Temple 💨 Bhutan has got to be one of the most unique countries I’ve ever visited 🇧🇹 one for the bucketlist for sure. #whatheck #travel #bhutan #avatarthelastairbender #avatar
Did you know that Tigers Nest monetary might be the most beautiful building I’ve ever seen 😍 It’s one heck of a journey to get there but it’s 100% worth it so throw it on that ever growing bucket list 🇧🇹 #whatheck #travel #bhutan #explore
Do NOT point 👉🏼 with your finger in Bhutan! 🇧🇹 It’s a beautiful country but when it comes to tourism they do things differently so remember these 3 things for your trip to this unique country! #whatheck #travel #explore #bhutan
Bhutan has such a unique culture!!! 🇧🇹 Stepping into the vibrant world of the Thimphu Festival was awesome. It’s one of Bhutan’s most colorful and lively celebrations and I was so stoked to be there for it. Every moment offered a glimpse into the heart of Bhutan’s peaceful and beautiful culture and it was the perfect way to start my trip to my 83rd country! #whatheck #bhutan #travel
*This video is for culture and education purposes please dont take it down tiktok* Travel is about opening your mind and learning about different cultures and beliefs - which is exactly what todays video is all about 😅 Bhutan has been nothing but fascinating but this small town in the countryside had me laughing! Of course Sopsokha directly translates into the word ‘penetration’... 😂 For many East Asian countries the phallus is a sign of good luck and fertility but that doesn’t mean my western brain can’t giggle like a child when I see it haha Gotta love travel and all the unique experiences that comes along with it. Anyone have Sopsokha on their bucketlist? #whatheck #travel #bhutan
Do you think pulse reading actually works? I had a pretty interesting experience on my last day in Bhutan while staying at the Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary! They offered free pulse readings from their local doctor and I’ve never heard of anything like this so I decided to give it a go. Overall it was a pretty cool experience and I believe we can learn something from all cultures and traditions but what do you think about this experience? #whatheck #travel #bhutan
Hanging on the edge of a cliff is the Buddhist monastery known as ‘Tigers Nest’ and it’s known for being the most spiritual place of Bhutan 🇧🇹 The faith and dedication required to build this monastery shouldn’t be overlooked, especially as it’s from 8th century 🤯 Truely a remarkable experience and if you only do one thing in Bhutan, you should visit Tigers Nest - 10/10 would recommend! Share this with a friend you want to go with! #whatheck #travel #bhutan #tigersnest
