HMCS Corner Brook made quite the entrance as it sailed under the Lions Gate Bridge and docked at the Pier at the Burrard Dry Dock in North Vancouver, marking its official return to operations after being out of service for 14 years. The Royal Canadian Navy says the sub is now one of the most capable in Canada’s fleet, upgraded with advanced sonar, communication, and intercept systems. Crowds have gathered to catch a rare glimpse of the vessel, which serves as a powerful symbol of Canadian naval strength and deterrence. While tours aren’t being offered at this time, visitors are welcome to view the submarine from a distance — and tours could be a possibility this summer.
